Description

Before I went outside I decided that I was going to try and image  NGC 6992 the Eastern Veil Nebula.  However when I went out side there was a bright crescent Moon up.  So I decided not to image this object.  In fact I decided not to image at all then.  I went back inside and waited for the Moon to be gone.  By the time the Moon was gone NGC 6992 had moved too far to the West.  So I quickly picked another target.  I noticed Auriga and my Orion 8 Inch Newtonian Astrograph was already set up.  So I decided to try and image IC 405 the Flaming Star Nebula.  I've never imaged this object with my 8 Inch Newt.  Please enjoy my most recent image of IC 405.

Description: When I looked at my image with fresh eyes this morning I noticed that my effort to negate noise in the background also did away with stars. I did a little reprocessing to make the star field normal again,
